Devotion to Mary
Christ honored Mary, obeyed her as His Mother and made her Queen over His Kingdom. Therefore, we too must honor her, obey her as our Mother and serve her as our Queen.
Fatima seer Sister Lucia notes a whole new generation is born from this Mother — “Christ in Himself and in His Mystical Body. And Mary is the Mother of this progeny chosen to crush the head of the infernal serpent.” Recall we’re in the Mystical Body of Christ.
The history of the 20th and 21st centuries is dependent on the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The secrets of Fatima concern the Church and the world, and the way in which mankind behaves toward God. With the consecration of Russia by the pope and the bishops, “My Immaculate Heart will Triumph” and a period of peace will be granted.
In 1946, during a gathering of youth at Fátima, Sister Lucia was asked by a young Russian girl, Natacha Derfelden as to how the conversion of Russia would be accomplished. Sister Lucia responded that the conversion of Russia would come through the Eastern Orthodox Church and “the Oriental rite”, seemingly meaning the conversion implied reconciliation and reunion between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church. A theological commentary written by Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger on the Fátima secret cites it as a “conversion of the heart”.

Sorrowful Mysteries
The Sorrowful Mysteries meditate on the passion and death of Jesus. Jesus sorrows for the sins of all men and for the ingratitude of sinners “for He foresaw His death would be of use to but very few and that the many would be lost through their own negligence and ingratitude.”
Glorious Mysteries
The Glorious Mysteries focus on the Glories of God through His Triumphant Resurrection, Glorious Ascension, and the Supernatural Decent of the Holy Ghost, as well as through His most perfect created being, the Blessed Virgin Mary, in her Glorious Assumption and Coronation in Heaven as Queen of heaven and earth.

For God has made her Queen of Heaven and Earth, dispenser of his graces, mediatrix on behalf of men, destroyer of his enemies.
